Judgement at the Waterfront Updates

The weighing-in has just commenced for the boxers of the much anticipated Judgement at the Waterfront event.

Z "The Dream" Gorres and his Mexican opponent Roberto Carlos Leyva both failed for their first attempt in the Bantamweight limit thus given them two hours to shake their excess weight. Gorres made the 118lbs. after sweating in less than a minute. And then Leyva exceeded the required weight loss when his weighing-in resulted into 116 lbs. The two mentioned boxers will fight for the vacant WBO Oriental Bantamweight Title.

Milan Melindo and Muhammad Rachman easily made 106 lbs. on their first attempt.

Their fight will unfold in the Waterfront Hotel and Casino in Cebu City.

Another blockbuster boxing event will unfold on March 14, 2009 at Cebu Waterfront Resort Hotel and Casino, The Judgment at the Waterfront featuring the fight of our "kababayans" Z "the Dream" Gorres and Milan "El Maestro" Melindo both from the ALA gym and Promotions.

Two Filipino potentials for world champions facing against two former world champions in this exciting event. Z Gorres will fight against Roberto "Mako" Leyva (20 KO's out of his 25 wins-8 loses and 1 draw). A former IBF and WBC Youth world champion.

While, Milan "El Maestro" Melindo will face another former IBF titlist in the name of Muhammad Rachman.

ALA Promotions says that Z Gorres and Melindo is on their best shape and ready to do battle this coming March 14 as they are to continue their quest for world titles.
